Hi, my name is Larry Tartisel.  I am the owner and consultant for Altra.  Altra has been serving small businesses in Ventura County since 1998.  My unique focus is simply on helping your small business grow to become highly profitable, while simultaneously becoming more enjoyable.  I have enjoyed my own small business successes as well as significant contributions to others over the last 30 years.

Altra has two main facets to our business:
Marketing Services and Business Consulting

Marketing Services:  My company creates affordable, yet effective, marketing and advertising material.  This includes web sites, logos, design graphics, print advertisements, brochures and many related items. 

AND, SOMETHING UNIQUE -- Most of our marketing services are created so you can take over if and when you want.  This means our company works ourselves out of work so you can use your staff to do the updating and changes yourself.  This allows you to save significant marketing dollars and increase your responsiveness to changes.  This is an option, you don't have to do the work yourself, you just have the choice.  Also, we can teach your staff to do this work as well.

Consulting:  Unfortunately, too much advertising and marketing is ineffective today.  Even marketing that should work, works much less than it should.  There are many reasons for this.  To name a few:

• Competitors with rich advertising budgets and strong businesses neutralize the small business' advertising and marketing efforts.

• Too much marketing noise is making it far too difficult to affordably cut through the clutter with small business messages.  (The average American is subject to about 7,000 marketing messages each day, and that number continues to rise).

• The business itself has lost, or has yet to gain, its appeal to the prospective and current customers.

• The business has employees that are ineffective at turning prospects into customers, or customers into long-term customers that tell their friends.

• The business has employees that turn customers off and actually run off customers.  Surprisingly, this is very common. 

My consulting services provide your company with the answers and the guidance that is just right for your particular situation.  My company provides consulting, coaching and mentoring on a monthly basis for a flat fee, or on a project basis.  You choose the route that works best for you.
